Washington, D.C.—Urban Investment Partners has paid $45 million for three American University-owned buildings in Tenleytown — 4000 Brandywine St. NW, 4620 Wisconsin Ave. NW and 4545 42nd St. NW. The former two will be redeveloped first, starting as soon as late 2016, into 225 apartments, said Brook Katzen, UIP’s vice president of development. In the Wisconsin Avenue building, UIP plans up to 10,000 square feet of retail.
